This week’s theme is “TeamWork.” Teamwork is a concept that is seen in so many ways. We see this currently from Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays on the 100 yd fields around the nation. This is also seen every day after school in gymnasiums, swimming pools, or in multiple locations around the school encompassing so many other sports and activities. The challenge becomes taking a group of individuals finding a way to get them all to work together to achieve specific goals.
Teamwork is a concept that is utilized beyond the athletic field. Each of us experiences and is involved in teamwork every day. As educators, we work within the confines of our classroom, using skills and ideas that we have learned and shared with our students. We have sat through classes, training sessions, and meetings with other educators to develop skills to help our students grow. This could not be done without Teamwork. Many of us are parents of young children, teenagers, and even young adults. Without teamwork, we would not be able to raise our children to be successful and happy. From our family members to their teachers, the doctors who helped bring them into the world, and everyone else involved in molding them along the way, it takes a whole team to make it happen. So as you take on the week, both personally and professionally, know that teamwork will be key to making it a success. Understand that you are not alone, you are a member of a team. Have a great week and remember, you are a part of multiple teams and when you are able to use quality teamwork skills, you and your team will be successful.
